Additives in older vehicles

Noise development

The wear and tear in the engine increases with age. This also makes the engine noise louder. Special oil additives reduce the friction in the engine, for example with the help of MoS2, and thus also reduce noise generation.

Decommissioned vehicles

Petrol does not last indefinitely and does not age. With the right additive, this aging process can be slowed down while protecting the fuel system from corrosion. This is important for vehicles that have not been used for several months. If no additive is added to them, this can lead to engine problems due to overlaid gasoline and engine damage due to corrosion.

In the case of diesel engines, bacteria, yeasts and molds can multiply in the fuel as a result of long idle times. These can contaminate the entire fuel system and clog the filter. The result: expensive repairs and time-consuming tank cleaning. Antibacterial diesel additives solve the problem and prevent it at the same time. They disinfect the fuel system and prevent the creation of new organic contaminants.

Oil loss

If the car is leaking oil, it can be caused by aging engine seals. There are also additives for this area of ‚Äč‚Äčapplication. They regenerate brittle seals and make them soft and pliable. This eliminates the oil loss. These ingredients need a distance of 600 to 800 kilometers to be effective.

Dirty oil circuit

Over time, ash, soot, and debris build up in the engine oil. This is one of the reasons why the engine oil needs to be changed regularly. These particles settle in the oil circuit and can impair lubrication - up to and including damage to the engine. Cleaning additives help here. Such an additive is added before the oil change, depending on the supplier's instructions. Its cleaning agents loosen the deposits, which are then drained off together with the used oil when the lubricant is changed.

Dirty radiator

Over time, oil residues and lime build up in the cooler. These residues can limit the cooling performance and cause long-term damage to the cooler. On the other hand, radiator cleaners that are added to the cooling water help. After a while, the cooling water and the dirt dissolved in it are drained off. Fresh cooling water is then filled into the cleaned cooler. This improves the cooling effect and heating performance.

Leaking cooler

In the event of leaks in the cooler system, the problem can be solved with additives. Such means immediately and completely seal small leaks. The constant refilling of cooling water and the time-consuming search for leaks are no longer necessary.
