Which country has the coolest banknote?

The best banknote in the world comes from Switzerland

The “10er-Nötli” was voted the best new edition of 2017 by the International Banknote Society. The yellow note had attractive competition.

The new 10-franc note is the best new banknote of 2017. The International Banknote Society (IBNS) has honored Switzerland for the second time in a row. In 2016 already won the new 50 note.

According to the IBNS, this time it was the tightest vote in history. The Swiss 10-note won just before the new 10-pound note from the Royal Bank of Scotland.

A total of over 170 new sheet music versions were published in 2017. IBNS checked around a third of them. According to the company, the decisive factors were the appearance of the note, i.e. artistic aspects, as well as security and innovation.

The International Banknote Society praises the 10-note for the latest security standards, but also for the artistic representations on the “gorgeous yellow note”, as the IBNS writes.

Enforced against the 20-note

The 20 note was also reissued in 2017. However, because only one grade per country is allowed to compete, the IBNS first had to choose between the 10 and the 20 grade. The yellow glow apparently swung out above the experts.
